I'm curious... I can't decide if I should get my DBA or not. I could get one for computers or I could get one for construction. I suppose it depends on what I get into more. At this point it could go either way. what do you guys think?

Depends on how much business you're going to do. You have to set up tax shit with the state and federal government too. (I still need to do that)

yeah I knew there was tax stuff invovled. If I did the construction one then I'd have business cause obviously Rochester isn't the most remodeled place in the world. Although... it doesn't mean that I couldn't put that business towards fixit-pc either. I don't know what to do.

You could always use one business name for both services.

D-gator is right, get one name for both. The taxes will depend on which work you do. I had to call mine a Gift Shop. I still keep the DBA in case I want to get into a shop again.

Just remember, If you get a DBA, you cant collect unemployment :-k
