Real trees dont last as long as I have my house decorated!

They smell really nice though. Maybe I'll get one of those little potted ones. I could always plant it in the spring.

I love the smell of real ones and have always had a real one. I don't think I could do fake unless I had a big house and had one real and one fake somewhere else er something. :-k

I was never much for trees at all, really.

My brother, before he moved, used to have an old muffler from a VW bus, that he leaned in the corner and put lights on. And presents under.

Very classy!

This year, I have been talked into getting us a real tree. I suppose I could dig a baby spruce out of the back yard, and then replant it in the spring, as Gator suggests.

It would of course be simpler, and more economical, to ignore christmas entirely. Think I can get away with it???

I think if I abolished christmas, I'd have a mutiny on my hands. :smt005

Yea, I'm glad my birthday doesn't fall around any major holidays. I like Thanksgiving and C-mas. Gives me that warm cozy feeling. I love the music and spending time with family and buying special things for people. I could actually care less if I got presents for cmas. I like doing the shopping and the wrapping and the giving. :smt040

last year was the first year that I didn't have a real tree for christmas. As far back as I can remember, my family has always gone and cut one down and brought it home.

Well now that we have our littl eone up, you can always go out and buy a stand, and get a real one for the dining room. We have plenty of orniments left over. Only thing is, when are you going to have time to do that?

Ok, so I got talked into doing the real tree thing, funny how we compromise our principles for someone esle, right? LOL.

Anyway, I learned a very important lesson - you can't fit a 9 foot tree into a toyota corolla, no matter how hard you try. You can however tie it to the roof and scare people behind you in traffic.

:smt038 Scarin people is fun! And there are some pretty nice benefits when you compromise for the one you love (or what ever it is you feel at this point urph!)

I usually put up a real one, but since I can barely move, this year I put up a small fake one.

but, what to do with the tree when christmas is over? This August, I almost wrecked my car when a windstorm blew a neighbor's tree into the road. Tinsel and everything, gahh@!

For safetys' sake....either compost your tree, eat it, or save it for next christmas... Progressive would have dumped me if I had tried to claim that one. :smt013

Let them dry out a little, good for starting bonfires!

AllCutieWants

I break it down and pack it back in the box that it came in. Up to the attic until next November! :rolllaugh

Why kill a tree for personal enjoyment?

camillusk

You could get a potted real one and then plant it when you're done.

MrBlues

I think you can only keep a potted one indoors for a few days or they don't make it.
