This is

from a BuffaloNews article:

A veteran patrolman with the Town of Hamburg Police Department was arrested Friday on

felony charges of possessing and receiving Internet child pornography.
Federal prosecutors said George
Adymy, 45, was

caught up in an international Internet child pornography investigation called Operation Predator. He is accused of using his

home computer to download numerous images of children engaged in sexual activity.

Adymy was suspended with pay after

his arrest. The officer was on duty Friday morning when customs agents from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security took him

into custody and conducted a court-authorized search of his Hamburg home.

WTF?!!?

BROOKLAND, Arkansas (AP) -- A police officer

and four jailers were suspended with pay for allegedly beating a man so severely that he had to be hospitalized.

Terry

O'Neil told authorities that police punched and shocked him with a stun gun several times at his home last week, and jailers

and deputies kicked him on his head at jail.

"They were laughing about it," O'Neil said. "They kept asking what

they would do next. It felt like a bomb went off in my head."

 suspended WITH

pay?!!?! Why aren't they arrested!!

They should do that to all prisoners tazer them, tazer them I

tell you.
Now a days they make prison too easy, I do not think beating them is cool but it should also not be a

resort.

Well they have rights too you know. Think about it. If you happen

to go there for unknown reason ( hypothetical ), what would you hope it would be? You know your gonna get it from Bubba

either way so... make the best of it.

No they really do not they lost them when they got

sentenced. I do not want to see people beat down but prisons are like country clubs now a days. Put alittle

fear back into going to prison is what I say

I agree. I watched a couple seperate documentaries on Maximum

Security Prisons, and aside from being able to go to McDonalds, the prisoners had a lot. From "playing" outside, a college

education, a full gym, cable TV, video games etc. And that costs us about $50,000 a year to keep one inmate in jail. These

people (who have rightfully been convicted of their crime) are getting a full free ride and the education that even I cannot

get. I don't think that it should be like that. I think their rights should be taken away, not enhanced. :?

P.S. But I don't think they should be beaten... nobody deserves

that.

kelticdrgn73

I agree they should not be beat but if it comes to that so be it,

prison should not be a slap on the wrist for an infraction. Prison should send a message if you go in it will be hell. The

people they hurt where were their rights at the time of the crime. We make prison too damn easy for criminals.

I do feel bad for the people who are wrongfully convicted of a

crime, and spend many years in jail for something they did not do. And even when they are let

out , with a big oops from the police, they are branded for life a criminal, and it ruins theirs.

The thing is, about this article, is

they weren't prisoners, they weren't even arrested yet!! They were in their own home when this happened and it continued

once he was at the jail!

 See how things can snowball??

kelticdrgn73
04-07-2004, 10:26 AM
Yes that is too bad, but that is a low number compared to the

ones that are let go because of the dumb cop not doing his job right.

That is too bad they got beat, but do we really now all the facts

I did not see the artical so I can not say for sure. If the we beat for no reason put the dumb ass cops behind bars. Again

I go back to the movie Clock Work Orange some times the cops will hire even the criminals

Has anyone seen Catch Me if You Can?

The FBI hired him to help detect and catch other con-artists. Apparently, hiring these people is helpful in preventing

other crimes like it!
