A drug suspect who hid a stash of marijuana in the bushes near Erie County Sheriff Patrick M. Gallivan's office was arrested after returning to retrieve it, according to detectives.
Sheriff's Detectives Joseph Raczynski and Alan Rozansky said Wednesday that they saw the man "jump out of the bushes" with "a pop bottle filled with baggies of pot" on Tuesday.
Bruce Lee, 30, of Rhode Island Street, had returned to pick up his stash after an unrelated appearance earlier that day in County Court, the detectives said. He had been released on his own recognizance on charges of forgery and marijuana possession. Lee, who was charged with possessing marijuana and trespassing, was being held pending arraignment.
