PALM HARBOR, Fla. -- Police say a man suspected in a burglary was arrested when he returned to the business to look for his missing wallet.
Dinah Metcalf, the owner of Tiphareth Healing Center, said she pulled up to the massage therapy business on Wednesday evening and found the door pried open. Metcalf said she saw a man across the street arranging things in the back of a red Ford pickup truck.
Metcalf said after she called police, the man came by and told her he was looking for his lost wallet. Dustin Lindenburg, 20, of Oldsmar left his name and phone number in case it turned up.
Deputies who responded called Lindenburg and asked him to return to the business, which he did -- in the same red pickup.
Deputies said Lindenburg confessed to the buglary. The $760 worth of stolen property -- including a foot-tall Buddha statue -- was recovered at his apartment.
Lindenburg was being held Friday with a $25,000 bond.
The wallet is still missing.
