A 17-year-old student has been charged with battery for vomiting on his teacher.

The Olathe Northwest High School student was charged June 13 in juvenile court with misdemeanor battery for allegedly intentionally throwing up on his Spanish teacher, David Young. The father of the student, whose name has not been released because he is a juvenile, said his son did not mean to blow chunks on the teacher but he was overcome by the stress of final exams.

However, Young called the vomiting "outrageous," and authorities said some students remembered hearing the teen say he planned to "upchuck on the teacher."

"I think a message is being sent by both the school district and the district attorney that this behavior will not be tolerated," Young said.

Johnson County District Attorney Richard Guinn said the boy would likely face probation if convicted, and that his office wants him to apologize to Young. The boy's father has said his son has been expelled and that officials recommended enrollment in an alternative school in the fall.

OLATHE, Kan. -- A Kansas high school student convicted of battery for puking on his Spanish teacher will spend the next four months cleaning up after people who throw up in a police car.

A judge said Tuesday at sentencing that he considered the incident an assault on the dignity of all teachers. The teen vomited on the teacher on the last day of classes at Olathe Northwest High School, outside Kansas City.

The boy's lawyer said his client had been nervous about his final exams but other students testified he'd planned it in advance. The teacher said he felt "sort of stunned" when it happened, and notes the student was failing his class.

:-k I would consider that an "unusual" punishment. He better appeal!!

:-| I could NOT clean up another human's puke unless it was my child's or my husbands - and I'd even have a hard time doing that!

Speaking of Puke.... I made gulosh the other night and some how, some way, Zoe got some kind of stomach bug that night, and she puked elbow pasta everywhere! All over crsh to begin with, but the whole night she probably puked 6-8 times, and a few more yesterday morning (which was just water cause there was nothing left). After crsh took a shower, I was left to take care of and clean up for the rest of the night. He got up one other time cause I called him needing a towel cuase she puked under the one I had sheilding myself! My poor baby. Now i have felt queezy since last night! UGH!

If you're ever going to be a mom camillusk.. it most likely will be your job too!

:-| I didn't know what to do. I don't have those senses that tell me what to do. I took the rug that she splattered with puke down to the laundry and found out that it wasn't washer safe. :doh I went back up and the carpet had already been scrubbed. I didn't know what else to do. I feel like a dick about it. I hadn't slept all week the week before and had been going to bed late as it was. I wasn't gonna be able to function without any sleep and was about falling asleep standing there as it was. I just wasn't functioning properly. Ugh.... sigh.

Awe, it's alright Crsh. You're right, guys just don't have that mommy instinct. You guys are better at figuring out what to do when the car breaks down or how to gain control of the car without panicking when it starts sliding because of snow - that kind of stuff.

You arent worthless... it's just draining on a mommy to be 100% parent all the time. We don't get an option :-|
