A former Home Depot store employee in Chandler, Ariz., was arrested after he drove his car through the store and then attempted to burn the business down in an apparent fit of anger, according to a Local 6 News report.
Police said Ali Warrayat, 24, drove his car through the entrance doors of the building Sunday and nearly hit an employee.
After driving around in the store's aisles, Warrayat was seen on surveillance video stopping in the paint department and then attempting to set his vehicle and the store on fire, according to the report.
"And it is not like a straight drive, you have to go in and make a turn into the paint department," a worker said. "He always seemed pretty low key, but who knows?"
Warrayat then fled the store on foot, but was later taken into custody outside the store without incident.
Police are not sure what provoked him.
