:-k I read two articles about this thing but the stories aren't the same...
"A 2-year-old Kansas girl is recovering at Children's Mercy Hospital after losing half her foot in a mowing accident, KMBC's Jim Flink reported.
Last Saturday, Donna Foster was mowing her grandparents' yard in Eudora, Kan. She was on a riding mower and her daughter, Alexis, was sitting on her lap.
He said Alexis slipped off the mower and under the blade. Her foot was severed. "

"A 2-year-old girl visiting her great grandparents' home in Eudora Saturday morning was sent to Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Mo., after her mother accidentally backed over her foot with a riding lawnmower.
The girl's mother had been mowing the lawn, when her daughter ran up behind the lawn mower unexpectedly, Eudora Police Sgt. Greg Neis said.
Neis said the mother believed her daughter was across the yard playing when she put the lawn mower in reverse to avoid driving over gravel. "
So... was she riding on the mower or not?
