PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wis. -- A Kenosha man was killed Tuesday when he was pulled into a wood chipper.
Jeremiah Sanders was working in a back yard in Pleasant Rrairie when a log got stuck in the machine.
He stuck his foot near the opening with the chipper running and was yanked in.
Witnesses said his nephew tried to reverse the machine, but it didn't work.
"I couldn't do nothing about it. I didn't know what to do. I was just horrified. I just was hoping for his feet to come out, and they never did," Sanders' nephew, Adam Sanders, said.
Sanders was 30 years old.
He leaves behind two daughters and a baby on the way.
Occupational Safety and Health Administration said the death investigation could take up to six months.
