A man died and four others were hurt after a car ran over them in a parking lot outside a Rochester bar early Wednesday morning. Police responded to Broadway between Alexander Street and Averill Avenue just before 2 a.m. for the report of a person struck by a car. When they arrived they found five people who were hit in a parking lot. One of the victims, a male, was pronounced dead at the scene. Four others were taken to Strong Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Rochester police say an argument inside the bar spilled outside into the parking lot right before the vehicle struck the five individuals. They say it appears the driver knew at least one of the victims.
Police took the driver of the car into custody. Charges in the incident have not yet been determined.
The names of the suspect and the victims have not been released.
:reallymad This happened at a gay bar. Its really a nice place to hang out, have a drink or 2 and maybe play some pool. I never would of thought something like this would happen there. People are insane!!!
