Buffalo police officers who tried to arrest an Ithaca man for public urination early Sunday said they had to chemically spray and physically subdue him after he became combative. Police said he later damaged a police vehicle.
Officers at Jim's Steak Out, 92 W. Chippewa St., said they observed Leslie Love, 29, urinating on the side of the building at 3:30 a.m.
Love fought with officers who were trying to place him under arrest and kicked the rear driver's side door of a police car, officers reported.
Love is charged with third-degree criminal mischief, resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration, exposure and disorderly conduct.
