So what does every one think about this gay marriage
thing?
Personaly, I have no problem with it.
Calling it a "civil union" is just word play... its silly.
lets stop wasting money and time on this crap, its time they focused on helping our poor, on education, and on health
care.
I really don't want to hear "marriage is defined as a union of man and woman". Times change! gay used to be
defined as "Happy, bright, pleasant"
(lets see where this goes)

I don't have any problem with it either. If it makes people
happy, what is the big deal giving them a piece of paper to help it along? I believe a gay couple in a lifetime committed
relationship should have the same rights and privliges as a straight couple....including all benefits.....
Just my
view....

I'm all for it too. Why shouldn't they get the same benefits?
I know a couple thats been together for over 20 years now!

Wow crsh, touchy subject? Sounds like you've been hit on
before!
I have wrestled with this topic since it's been in the media so much lately. As a christian and even
scientifically I think that people of the same sex don't belong together. If they did, then -naturally- they would be able
to conceive a child together. But, then again I think we are all entitled to our own beliefs.
So, I guess what I'm
saying is if we are talking "marriage" in legal terms I wouldn't and I can't condemn someone for the way they feel -
especially when it comes to love. If they want to just make it official by law I think that's fine. But "marriage" under
God and in religious terms is totally different to me and I wouldn't ever be able to support a same sex couple getting
married in a church.

I think its been scientifically proven that you are born
homosexual. Its in your genes and there isn't much you can do about it. Although I do think that some just want to be that
way. I think gay's really get a bad rap, the media and stereotypes always highlight the "flaming"ones. Most gays are not
like that at all, nor do they like that. I'd bet everyone here would be surprised by the number of gays around them... and
they don't even realize it. I'm sure there are some sick perverted gay people, but there are also some sick perverted
straight people. I'm not sure why people are so scared of gays, I know quite a few of them and they are all good honest
people, they work, pay their taxes, take care of their houses, have family and freinds, just like everyone else. :-k

Yea, they do get a bad rap. It's too bad. I know a few people who
are gay and like you said davagator, they are "normal" people- the only thing that's different, obviously, is their sexual
preference. Stereotypes are something I'm afraid humans will never be rid of.

I know a few freaking gay people, they
are nice decent freaking people. I say let them have the same freaking rights as straight folk. i'm not big into god or
church but seems to me that somewhere in the freaking bible thing it says "man was created in the likeness of god" so to
me that means that if someone is freaking gay, then freaking god must be part gay too, sooooo its freaking ok to be
gay. :supz:

LOL always! Oh... well I dont see why your sexual preference has anything to do wiht being happy and married. Let them marry already. What I dont understand is... just cause u like penis, why does it make you act "flaming"?
