ELLICOTTVILLE - Christopher J. Carvallo, 18, of Harding Road, Williamsville, was charged with drunk driving early Sunday after running over a gas pump and almost hitting someone standing in the gas station parking lot, Cattaraugus County sheriff's deputies report.
Carvallo had gotten into a fight with friends and drove to a Kwik-Fill station here at about 1:10 a.m. to call police, deputies said. While at the Kwik-Fill, deputies said, the fight resumed. Carvallo hopped into his truck to get away, but in the process ran over the gas pump and almost hit someone in the lot, deputies said.
Carvallo was charged with drunk driving, reckless endangerment, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and unsafe backing.
