I emptied the pool this weekend. Today I finally was able to pull the empty OOL up. There was some water in the bottom still of course. When I flipped it over to finish getting the water out... OMG what a stink. The water had algae in it. But for some reason it smelled like I was at the farm. The cut, old, wet grass smelled like Cow Manure! What a stink!

I put a hose on it at the drain on the bottom and ran the hose to the drain where the gutters go originally. Just so happens that it doesn't go to the sewer like it was supposed to. ended up going into the yard anyway so I ran the hose to the middle of the driveway. I figured with all the stone in it that it would drain faster. Well it did and I was pretty impressed so I left it there for the most part. It made the water puddle up a little bit in the grass but it was gone today. This morning I unhooked the hose and just let the rest drain in the yard on the other side of the pool. Its pretty much gone now. I was able to mow the lawn a little bit but I'll wait till tomorrow to finish. All I have to do is fold up the pool and put it in the box and in the loft of the garage. I spread some grass seed on the area but I don't think I needed to. believe it or not there was still alot of grass left there. It was brown but still there.

What a shame about the ool. I know a lot of people that have closed their ools already. It wasn't a good year to be a ool owner. I haven't used the ool at the apartment at all.

yeah... pretty much they'll mostly be all closed Labor day weekend. I know thats when we used to close ours when I lived at my parents house. Memorial day to Labor day.
